Neuro\Queer Affirmative Coaching & Therapy
Therapy and coaching for people whose lives, brains, bodies, identities—or countries—don't always fit the standard instructions.
Queer. Neurodivergent. Chronically ill. Trans. Disabled. Immigrant. Expat. Somewhere in between, or still figuring it out.
You might belong here if…
You know what the problem is. You've read all the books. You may even know exactly what your therapist is about to say.
You have plenty of insight—and somehow knowing all the right words hasn't necessarily changed how you feel about yourself, what happens when you're overwhelmed, or the patterns you keep finding yourself in.
You understand what you're supposed to do. Your brain just won't always do it.
Executive functioning, burnout, sensory needs, masking and “simple” tasks that somehow aren't simple.
You've spent years wondering why everyone else got the “how to human” instructions.
Maybe you're late-diagnosed, self-diagnosed, questioning, or finally finding language for experiences you've had your whole life.
You're used to not being believed.
You're “too sensitive.” You're overreacting. The tests are normal. Everyone gets tired. You don't look autistic. You seemed fine yesterday. Maybe you've learned to question your own perceptions because other people have dismissed them so often. Chronic invalidation does something to you.
You're tired of having to explain your identity before you can talk about your actual problems—or maybe your identity is what you want to talk about.
You may be figuring out whether you're queer or ace, exploring gender, preparing for or recovering from gender-affirming care, healing sexual or body-based trauma, navigating relationships, or becoming brave enough to explore sexuality, kink, and pleasure on your own terms.
Your body keeps changing the terms of the agreement.
Chronic pain, fatigue, Long COVID, POTS, EDS, MCAS, autoimmune illness and dynamic disability can require grieving, adapting, advocating—and figuring out what a meaningful life looks like now.
You moved countries and discovered that “living abroad” is considerably more complicated than the Instagram version.
Immigration and emigration can bring freedom and possibility alongside bureaucracy, isolation, culture shock, identity shifts, relationship strain, homesickness and the strange experience of building a life somewhere new.
You've been through some shit.
Trauma doesn't always announce itself neatly, and being marginalized, medically dismissed, chronically overwhelmed or repeatedly required to adapt can leave its own marks.
Our Approach
Affirming means more than “accepting.”
We are queer and neurodivergent therapists with lived experience as well as specialized clinical training. Sometimes identity is context; sometimes it is the content of therapy itself. We don't approach queerness, neurodivergence, or disability as problems to be corrected, cured, or made more palatable to other people.
Context matters.
We use an identity-based, social-justice approach that recognizes the impact of ableism, transphobia, racism, medical gaslighting, inaccessible environments, and other systems of power. Not every distressing thought is a cognitive distortion, and therapy shouldn't turn systemic problems into individual failures.
Insight is important—but knowing isn't the same as integrating.
Many of our clients already understand themselves remarkably well. Therapy can help turn “I know this about myself” into acceptance, work through grief and internalized shame, build a more affirming sense of identity, and begin asking: What would my life look like if I actually built it around who I am?
We work collaboratively.
There isn't one correct way to do therapy—or one correct version of a meaningful life. We draw from psychoeducation, coaching, cognitive, emotional, relational, and somatic approaches, including EMDR, based on your needs, goals, brain, body, identities, and circumstances.
Support Wherever You Are
Online therapy, counseling, and coaching can make support more accessible—especially for neurodivergent, disabled, chronically ill, immunocompromised, or anxious clients. Telehealth eliminates the commute, traffic, and parking, can reduce sensory overload, and allows you to meet from an environment where you already feel comfortable.
Online therapy throughout California. Our U.S. practice is based in Los Angeles, and we work with clients across California, including San Diego, Orange County, Santa Barbara, Sacramento, Davis, Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay, Berkeley, the San Francisco Bay Area, and rural communities throughout the state.
Online and in-person services in Spain. Our international practice is based in Valencia, Spain, where we offer a limited number of in-person therapy, counseling, and coaching appointments, as well as online services throughout Spain and internationally.
We work with English-speaking immigrants, emigrants, and expats adjusting to life abroad, as well as LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill clients looking for affirming support across countries and cultures.
Coaching is available worldwide, including throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and beyond.
