Gender Affirming Surgery Assessment Letters

Online. We provide therapist assessment letters for Gender Affirming surgeries and care. We view these letter requirements as an inequitable form of gate-keeping, and aim to make the process as affirming and seamless as possible. In this session, we review your gender journey, your hopes and fears around surgery, your aftercare plans and support system, and generally assess your capacity to give informed consent.

If you have a procedure that requires two letters (such as bottom surgery or implant removal), we also offer a joint session where you meet with both of us and receive two letters afterwards.

ND Affirmative ADHD Assessments with Report

Coming soon. This service will be available to our established therapy clients. The documentation will support most accommodation requests for employment and education, including exams administered by Pearson Vue. However, the assessment does not include cognitive functioning tests that assess for learning disabilities. If you need those for specific accommodations (for instance, College Board exams like the SAT), we can provide relevant referrals.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Not in the near future. In addition for all the benefits for clients, telehealth allows us to provide more availability of both time and energy (plus like many of y’all, we have a whole kit of fidget toys, beverages, notebooks, snacks, electronic devices, and cats that would be difficult to transfer back and forth).

  • No, We are not paneled with any insurance companies right now for many reasons. We recognize that makes us inaccessible for some of you and we acknowledge how much that sucks. To understand more about why many therapists don’t take insurance, this blog may be helpful

  • If you meet the criteria for a diagnosis that is medically recognized by your insurance, we can provide superbills for you to submit for potential out of network reimbursement. Please contact your insurance carrier to find out what your benefits are.

  • When our caseload is full, we can put you on a waitlist and contact you when we have an opening. Sometimes waiting for a specialist is worth it. However, if you need support now, we don’t want you suffering in limbo and encourage you to start working with another therapist as soon as possible. We can offer relevant referrals.

  • Yes, each of us reserves a percentage of our caseload for reduced fee clients. However, our sliding scale spots are currently full and not likely to open up until 2025.

  • We recommend Open Path Collective to find open sliding scale spots ($40 - 70) . We wish we could work with everyone but our own disabilities offer harsh penalties when we exceed our limits.
